day 1 of 30

I wish i'd be able to make a post everyday until the big day but again, i can't do that. Somehow, my work has recently changed requiring more of my time and energy and that means less blogging for me. I am also unable to access my blog at work for some reason i don't know.

So anyway, i went to shercon today with my dad (he's a supportive dad and driver). I was supposed to meet with Benedict for the sample centerpiece flower i asked of him to make (with fee). However, he had some other service to attend to so he just left the flowers to Danica, the receptionist at shercon. When I saw the flowers, i wasn't able to hide my dismay. I just didn't like it. It was so so far from the peg i showed him the last time we had a meeting. I thought then that he was sober but now, seeing the flowers, i guess he wasn't. It was initially just white flowers with twigs but Benedict said he couldn't find nice twigs so i told him it's ok. I'd rather have simple white flowers without twigs rather than having them with twigs that do not look ok. I wanted it to be simple and elegant. But the centerpiece he made wasn't appealing to me at all. After my meeting with Danica, i texted Benedict and told him the things i did and didn't want. I requested him to make another one using my preferred flowers but he said he's still going to make a sched for it as he is really busy these coming days. Anyway, i'll be sending the pegs to danica again and let benedict see it. I'll make sure he'll do what i have asked of him to do or else he's dead or i'm dead :'(

Nevertheless, there were quite a few good things that happened today.

I obtained Rain's wedding bann from Lemery, the last bann we needed to submit to church to make our requirements complete. Yey!

I was able to get the dresses for my 2 flower girls. I actually didn't expect them to look that good but they did with the ribbons, flowers and strap. I wonder how adorable my 2 flower girls will look like wearing them.

Rain is almost finished with our board initials. He's been doing them for weeks now. Due to sched, he was only able to do them during his 2-days off and last weekend he spent his entire day making them. I couldn't believe how he was able create such designs which he got from the net. Yes, he got the design from the net but i couldn't believe how he was able to apply it so beautifully on our own boards.  They were just amazing.

My mom and dad also were able to buy groceries/ingredients that will be used for the food to be cooked for our upcoming pre-wedding event. It's almost 4 wks from now but my mom said buying groceries as early as now not only saves us time but also gives us more convenience than doing it when the holiday is near and people are cramming to buy groceries for their own celebration.

So there, beaneath the darkness there's always light somewhere. I'm happy good things are still happening. :)
