We got Betty Uy from Imaginenation Photography as our photographer both for our prenup and for our upcoming big day. She was the photographer of my friend during their wedding and I’ve seen her photos online which were great. Imaginenation actually offers 3 types of photographers depending on expertise. Betty is one of the junior photographers but that doesn’t sound any less from the senior photographers. She’s one of the best and I wasn’t wrong to say that after seeing our prenup photos which I am proud to share with you at the end of this blog.
The night before our prenup, Rain and I were busy preparing the clothes that we’re gonna wear, the props and the food that we will be bringing. I hadn’t gotten enough time to prepare early because I attended my best-friend’s mother’s interment that afternoon. I was actually hoping to cancel our prenup the next day so I can stay with my bestfriend for a little longer but schedules have been made and we know how busy photographers and make-up artists are that's why I couldn’t cancel our appointment. I'm still thankful that at least I was able to attend to her mother's interment.
Part of our contract with Imaginenation is to pick up the photographer from manila to our prenup location (sparing any out of town fee) so Rain and my dad woke up at 2 am in the morning to drive to manila and pick them up. I, on the other hand, woke up around 3 am and got myself ready for my hair and make-up. We booked Romar (Touch of Ada) to be my HMUA both during prenup and wedding. I remembered it was last March, just a few weeks after a friend of mine got married. He was my friend’s HMUA and I was amazed with his work, thus, I booked him as well with no second thoughts. He was easy to talk to and was kind enough to give us a lot of discounts. Anyway, around 5 am, Romar with his assistant, Mark and their driver arrived. I asked them to have breakfast first right after they were done setting up their things. After breakfast, they began to transform me into a beautiful lady ;p
Romar was supposed to come with us but he said he has some contract signing to attend to in Manila so he left right after he was done with my make-up. His assistant, Mark, stayed to do my retouch. I asked Rain to fetch us at home before going to Shercon. Around 6 am, they arrived. It was my 2nd meeting with Betty (the first one was last Aug when we talked about our prenup preps). With her was Mark (same name as Romar’s assistant lol) from Imaginenation as well. After putting everything in the car, we drove to Shercon.
We didn’t actually have any sort of theme for our prenup. I wanted it to be just laid back. We didn't want so much styling. Our first shoot was us wearing a formal attire. I looked and felt fab on my dress maybe because I wasn’t always used to wearing such. Not long after, I began to have painful cramps. So painful I had to ask Betty to stop our photo session so I can rest. I took my meds that Rain bought for me but I had to throw up due to severe pain. At one point I sent a message to my mom telling her about my condition which gotten her all worried and without me knowing she sent my dad to bring me some meds. Aw! By the time my dad came, I was already doing okay and back on my feet again (thank God). Mark did some retouch on my hair and make-up. We had lunch and our photo session resumed. Yey! We spent the next several hours posing, laughing, playing in front of the camera. It was tiring yet full of fun. We ended our prenup shoot at around 5 pm. We headed to Benok’s Lomi House and let Betty and her assistant Mark taste our famous Lomi. While we were eating, Betty gave us a copy of the raw pictures taken during our prenup shoot. I was glad to know that the pictures need not have to be edited as they were already beautiful and clear. After eating, we drove them back to Manila. It was almost midnight when we returned home. We were all exhausted but as we watched our pictures, it felt like everything was worth it. Oh I can’t wait for the big day!
Here, sharing you some of our best shots :)
