DIY Prenup Props/ Prenup venue

These my friends are some of the props we'll be using for our engagement shoot this coming Monday, September 7. Thanks to Pinterest for the concepts and more thanks to my h2b- Rain for his creativity, patience and effort for doing them all. I'm not claiming any credit for the creation of these props but I'd like to say I was the one who patiently browse the net to look for ideas that we can possibly use and..that's all:p I'm not an artsy person so you can't really expect me to do all these stuff and I'm just thankful that my h2b is :) We are on a tight budget so a stylist is definitely not on our list and because of that, we have to really exert some effort to style our own e-shoot.

We're having our prenup photo shoot in our wedding venue. I have no doubt our pictures will look fantastic as this place is truly picturesque. We went there last week for the nth time and finally got the time to explore the whole place and noted some of the areas perfect for (photo) shooting. We initially planned to have our prenup done at Shercon in the morning and in the afternoon I wanted us to go to Calatagan beach resort and have a couple shot at the shore while the sun is setting in the horizon. That I consider the most romantic shot. But the travel time is long and we'll have an additional out-of-town fee for our HMUA so we decided to think of an alternative place. I found this Taal Lake and Conservation Center at Balete Lipa. It was only few a km away from Shercon. We went there yesterday and although the place wasn't that amazing, we were told that the sunset view there is really breathtaking. So we booked the place thinking that it's better than paying an out-of-town fee. Rain took some pics of the place and here they are:

My 3rd Gown Fitting

Last Saturday (Aug. 22) at 6pm, I went to Ms Merl's shop again to try my gown that has been repaired according to my request. I was actually nervous to try on my gown, but when I finally did, I saw a bit of improvement. The bust line wasn't that high anymore and they lowered the cut of my gown to my 2nd or 3rd hips. They said they actually followed the cut size of the mannequin this time. They removed the laces so they can change the top again to my desired look. I don't want to say it's perfect because it isn't finish yet but it did look better  now than before . I just hope it will look good once it's done.

Wedding Preps Update

Hey hey hey! I'm back! It's sad to say that no matter how much I wanted to update this blog of ours on time, I just can't make it merely due to work sched and limited time. Too busy this past few days I barely find enough time to even go out and watch a movie but I'm glad I'm enjoying our wedding preps (not all the time though) but so far, doing things for our wedding is somewhat fun, exciting, StreNuoUs, TiRiNg, StrEsSfuL but still FUN :)

So as I said in my previous blog, our scheduled food tasting happened last July 25, 2015. I don't want to say anything else other than the food all tasted good. We just had to change our dessert from panna cota to assorted cheesecake just because the former didn't live up to my expectation, it tasted too bland  and also the assorted fruits have this strong thyme-flavored syrup that Rain and my sister didn't like so we changed it to plain sugar syrup instead.

August 8, 2015 (Saturday) I had my second dress fitting with Ms. Merl and as always I was so excited. This time the laces were already sewn on the gown so it looks a lot different than the first time I wore it. And I had the detachable see-thru lace/ cover-up as well which was beautiful. However, I still wasn't impress with how the gown fits on me. Looking at the pictures, I look flabby (esp.the tummy part) and the bust line.... it's still high... :'( Of course I couldn't show the pics to Rain no matter how much I wanted to. We had to come back the following Monday to talk to Ms. Merl about it. I told her that I didn't like how the gown fits on me, and even if she insisted that they just followed my size, I still asked if they could still do an adjustment to lower the cut so as to define my shape further just like the original gown I wore which was patterned based on a mannequin size. So she took note of it and said that they will make the adjustment just as I requested. Crossing my fingers now, hoping it will turn out fine.
